Is Allen Iverson the Brett Favre of the NBA?
Allen Iverson joined the Memphis Grizzlies in the off-season and didn’t even last until the end of November. The first rumor had him going to the New York Knicks after his release from the Grizzlies. The Knicks soon crushed those rumors, saying something along the lines that they like him, but he doesn’t fit the mold of what they are trying to do there. In other words, they don’t want him messing with their young guys. For some odd reason, Iverson hasn’t gotten the image of being a great role model for the younger players in the league. Imagine that. So what is a guy to do? Retire? Good idea said Allen Iverson.

Most everybody I know dislikes Charles Barkley and you can’t blame them. Why? Because I live in Ohio and Barkley bashes on Cleveland more often than he eats. I know it’s hard to imagine Chuck choosing anything over food, and from one fat guy to another Charles, I get it. I’m a hometown fan and for that reason, I guess I should hate Charles Barkley, too. The NBA off-season can be an emotional time for both teams and fans alike. Not only do you have the NBA draft, where you can get that rare cornerstone player for your franchise, but that is when all the big free agent signings happen. There is usually a flurry of moves in the first week, that teams can sign free agents than it settles down and the few remaining viable free agents slowly find their teams. If you still need a piece or two of the championship contender puzzle after the season begins, than you better look at the trading block.
