All Star Third Baseman Chone Figgins signs with Seattle Mariners
By signing third baseman Chone Figgins, the Seattle Mariners showed they are willing to spend this off-season. Figgins had his best season yet in 2009. The all-star third baseman batted .298 and scored 114 runs for the Anaheim Angels. The Angels are facing a 2010 season without not only Chone Figgins, but also Vladimir Guerrero. That is unless the Angels shock everybody and resign the power-hitting giant.
